Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase the fuel rail pressure sensor for the Delphi system fitted to these vehicles, without the fuel rail.

Please remember that we are here to diagnose the fault, once the fault has been diagnosed it remains the property of the owner of the vehicle.

It never was nor is it your fault, this also applies to the fact that the manufacturer only sells the component as part of a bigger assy, it is not your fault, you should not feel sorry for the owner, did you buy the vehicle?

Sorry for the rant but one last thing to remember is that when it all goes Tits up the customer will blame you !!
