Renault Clio 1.5 DCi 2001 - Non start after head rebuild #
Posted by Peter Tokely on July 22, 2010, 10:44 am Got a clio in just now. The customer bought it from an auction with a snapped timing belt. We removed the cylinder head and sent it away to get checked. It had two bent valves so they got replaced. We built it all back up and tried to start it. It started fine then we noticed that an oil pipe was not connected at the back of the cylinder head. We turned the engine off. Just before the engine was turned off the engine running tone went very lumpy. After the oil pipe was tightened the engine wouldnt start again. We took the head off again and made sure all the valves were seated correctly (which they were). After rebuilding it again we changed the timing belt tensioner, timed it up and tried to start it with no sucess. Now there is a fault code and a STOP light coming up on the dash. The fault code is DF111 and DF105. We would be very grateful for any information anybody may know.
