Fiat Ulysse 2.0 JTD RHZ 2001 - Loss of power, codes P1521 & P0380 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2001
Engine Size and Code *: 1997cc - DW10ATED (RHZ)

Hi All, any info of help on this would be appreciated.

Got this in and starts, runs ok at idle and most of the time on roadtest.Then all of a sudden loses power, no acceleration will not rev over 3500-4000 rpm (60mph).
checked fault codes with texa and comes up with MAF,Turbo pressure,(P1521)clutch pedal switch & (P0380)Glowplug circuit.
Changed MAF still same...
Can't find any other data to check anything else., anyone got any ideas?

Just had another look at this one as customer has left it for us to investigate more.
We have just replaced the fuel filter as we noticed it was surging when revs held and lots of Blue diesel smelling smoke.
Now it will rev up over 4000rpm when stationary.
Reset all codes and given it a good roadtest.
Initially was all ok, drove as it should then a sudden loss in power, would not go above 4000rpm
with foot flat down, no or very little turbo boost felt.
Re scanned for codes..
now have codes P0246, P0380 present and will not reset.

Finding it difficult to find any reliable test data apart from codes. any help is appreciated...

I would suggest you concentrate on that P0246 fault code, which is I have listed under EOBD as turbo solenoid / circuit fault. Also worth checking vacuum circuit & boost pipes / inter cooler for leaks.

p0380-related to glow plugs
concentrate on as Paul said P0246 which is related to turbo boost solenoid

Hi Paul
Did you fix it ?
Have had same faults codes on Suzuki Grand Vitara(RHZ)
Now fixed.
