Renault Clio II 1.5 CDi 2004 - Cutting out at random times - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004 Engine Size and Code *: 1.5 cdi k9k700 ( Optional ) Scanner Used: solus pro / pico scope ( Optional) Fault Codes: 126
Car runs fine in the workshop right through the rev range but on the road it looses power and cuts out at random times.
Restarts instantly until it cuts out again could be straight away or five miles up the road.
Scoped and checked all the usual sensors and found ok,but after every test drive a code "126 sensor voltage low" is stored and I cannot find any reference to this code anywhere.
Also the crank sensor is producing around 20 volts at idle I was expecting to see around 0.5 and up to 10 is this correct ?
Air temp sensor also has only 0.5v supply and I was expecting 5.0v Solus says air temp -40 is this a big issue.
After much head scratching scoped the electronic egr valve response feed and it did not give the expected signal. stripped and cleaned egr valve it then ran without cutting out but still no response signal.
Egr valve replaced with a genuine Renault part.
Car now runs perfectly and the response signal has been restored.
I suspect code 126 is for low or no voltage on egr response.
