Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 2002 - Intermittent loss of power, no fault codes #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Code or CC *: 2000 HDI 90 hp
( Optional ) ECU Type: Siemens
( Optional ) Scanner Used: KTS, DEC

Had this come in with customer complaing that intermittently while driving the car loses power, he pulls over to the side of the road and turns key off, waits for 5 minutes then off again until the next time.
No fault codes stored, dealers want to fit a particulate filter but will not guarantee to cure the fault.
Checked fuel filter and changed - nothing obvious.
Any help gratefully received.

I had one with similar faults although i had anti-ploution fault on info display. Couldn't fault car so carried out a force regen and all was ok afterwards.

Roger the 90bhp 307 doesnt have a particle filter
Do you know what happens re the lack of power as these are gutless to start with

Only issues with power loss ive had with these is MAF [no fault codes] and egr solonoid valves but this generally gives an air flow lower than reference code , what does the customer describe the power loss as

Hi

May be worth just checking funtion on brake lamp switch. I had an issue with and HDI, but was in a 306.
