Santana 2.8 CR Diesel 2004 - What scanner will communicate? #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
Engine Code or CC *: 2.8 Diesel

A nice simple question.

Has anyone ever tried to communicate with the EMS on one of these, if so what tool will cover it? I think its Bosch EDC MS6.3 so maybe KTS? Could be the same as Pug Boxer, mayne PPS would work?

The owner will have a bit of a drive to get to me so I want to try and figure out if I have a capable tool for the job before I agree to look at it.

Hi Alan

These engines are either a 2.5 or 2.8 from Iveco.

KTS would be your best bet I think?

Hi Darren,

Yes, 2.8 Iveco with MS6.3 so one would expect KTS to be capable

Time will tell.

Pug boxer 2.8 is also MS6.3 and with the tie up between Iveco/fiat/Pug then maybe the PPS may work too.

Martin, an adapter from Planet to which vehicle? Boxer? The Santana has a round DLC and I think the Boxer would have an oblong 2 or 3 pin on early models and the usual 16 pin on later ones.

I imagine I will be able to pin this out for the K and L lines and com as a boxer with KTS.
