Citroen Relay 2.8 HDi 2005 - Bad starting (hot or cold), fault code P1320 #

Engine Code or CC *: 8140.43S
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Snap on and Texa

Hi All
We have the above vehicle in with starting problems. It's the Iveco 2.8 HDi.
It will never start first time but always second time.
Sometimes it will crank over and over, sometimes it will fire a couple of times then crank. Turn the key off and it will start second time guaranteed. Fault code shows P1320 Cam sensor problems. Nothing wrong with the sensor though.
Are we looking at fuel pressure problems? If so, It will have to go to a diesel specialist, but before that I wondered if anyone has had a similar problem and if so what is the fix?

same as all hdis insufficent high fuel pressure .
injectors pump pressure regulator seal etc.
check pressure whilst cranking.

This engine [SOFIM] is an all round very reliable setup

What tests have you actually done??.Nothing wrong with cam sensor? how do you know .

What fuel pressure readings do you have when it wont start

why you think it is a fuel problem if you have cam sensor fault coming back? You might have injectors or priming issue. But why you starting from the end? Eliminate cam sensor fault. If you would have synchro problem car won't start as well.
