Peugeot 307 1.6 HDi 2004 - Pitfall #

( Optional ) Scanner Used: planet

Hi all how many of you have scanned a car seen the glow plug fault code and disregarded it because its never been cold enough for them.
this vehicle came into day with the usual poor performance and varios dash messages.addative bottle was empty, refilled bottle fitted new cap sensor and reset addative ecu.then i tried to carry out regen,told me it had failed, the reason being on these vehicles if the glow plugs dont work it will not allow you to a regen. hope this helps some one in future. Hi, thats because of engine loading. Some vehicles also turn on the heated rear window(more loading). HTH

Michael i would be very surprised if you could carry out a staric forced re-gen even after the glow plugs have been replaced / no faults in ecu

Static regen was available in very early versions of planet but was quickly removed to stop engine damage but the option still remains

Hi Steve.

I am a little confused about this. I have heard from several sources that the "regen" feature is no longer available, but I have done several recently, using quite recent versions of Planet. The option is not always there, when you do the “Global” test, but I seem to find it ok when selecting the Engine or Additive ECU’s directly.

I am sure someone with a photographic memory will come along & clarify.

The 2.0 hdi [RHS] can still be done static
