Hi Had this vehicle recovered to us with the symptons of no throttle control with the pedal although would drive just using the idle speed and occasionally would rev up to 4k on its own. Have changed the pedal due to a fault code guiding me this way and after scoping found signal 2 very slow and a poor mirror image of 1. New pedal has cured all this and given me back throttle control but the idle is way to high and live data graph shows signal 2 dropping to 0v intermittently still even though scoping at the new pedal it doesnt. Does anyone know where the ECU is on the vehicle and which pins are the accelertor pedal so can scope there? Beggining to drive me mad. Also anyone come across this before? Any advice much appreciated Cheers Ben
Just a quick update. Stupidly I didnt check out all the information availible to me and just grabbed the jap scanner.... once I found the ECU under the passenger footwell I was enlightnend with a BOSCH module. Now checking ESI found all the information i was in need of and found this particular pedal sensor is dropped to ground via internals of the ECU as sensor monitoring and perfectly normal. All I can say is that the time span in which it did this was quite different between the old and new pedal. After resetting everything and giving the vehicle a good road test Im happy to say is fixed. Lesson learned CHECK ALL INFO Ben
