BMW 530D E60 3.0 2004 - No power, code 480a particulate filter system #

Engine Code or CC *: 3000CC
( Optional ) Scanner Used: SOLUS

No power clear codes power comes back until codes come back.Codes 480a particular filter system,481a particular filter system cannot find out regeneration percedure or if replacement is only option.

you will be stuck with solus only two machines i know that will do regen are autocom and bmws own

I would try passive regeneration (motorway) then clear the faults.It may help.

I believe that Win star will do the re-gen as well.

Hello David,
I had one recently, which I took off & cleaned with a pressure washer & poked the blocked holes out with a bit of mig wire. A new particulate filter was about £1200 from our local dealer & they had never sold one. From our local factors it was about £600.

Can I also suggest that some effort is used with the text in the question.
