Year of Manufacture *: 2005 Engine Code or CC *: BJB ( Optional ) Scanner Used: KTS
Hello All, i have the above vehicle in the workshop at the moment, and its a non starter scanned with kts, and retrieved code 422 fuel pump signal error.
if i put a live feed to the fuel pump i can get it to fire up, this fault seems to lie with the fuel pump relay, does anybody know the location of the fuel pump relay.
I have a wiring diagram and it says that there is a fuse for the fuel pump Fuse 27 i have checked this, and there is no fuse and the terminals are not populated.i also have a copy of elsawin, and if you put the chassis no in and engine code i seem only to be able to pick a wiring diagram for the golf.
also can anyone answer this question, is the fuel pump ecu switched or does it time out when you cycle the ignition, looking at the wiring diagram for ecu the does not seem to be any pressure switch for the low side fuel pressure. sorry for the long post, but this one got me ripping my hair out ( and i am bald enough already)
TIA Kev Gundry

Hi Mick, Thanks for the reply, after doing some more investigating i did find the fuel pump relay. It had been unclipped form the relay carrier so i could not find it, i suspected the relay in the first place so i ordered one from the dealers to chassis Number relay 167 but this was a bum steer on the dealers part, because in fact when i found the relay, it was 449 turned out that i also had loose connections in the relay carrier, anyway all sorted now.
