BMW 320d 2001 - Red oil light comes on yellow? #Archived Message

Help Required,, Customer came in today and told me that his red oil light on the dash comes on yellow after starting and sometimes when he turns off, under engine management there were fault codes for the heater plugs but these erased ok and didn't re occour.
This has been happening for the last 18 months and doesn't affect start or performance. There are no fault codes under instrumentation.
Does anyone know what this light means as our local BMW dealer won't tell ya fek all..
