i've got a complicated problem/s here, i'll start at the beginning 51 plate galaxy/sharan 1.9 tdi pd 115 hp e/code auy 10k miles on new engine 185k on old one we've inherited a galaxy that has had a new engine fitted (engine mount casting snapped off on old one) ever since engine was fitted it doesn't start great when cold & terrible when warm & performance is a bit poor compared to having previously driving it at cold when you crank it fires up, idles,the engine tone alters slightly after about 10 seconds & then the engine will rev, alternatively it cuts out several times, buteventually fires up, still flat though. when the vehicle has done a few miles if you switch off for 5/10 mins. try to start it it cranks over for an age before eventually firing up, runs ok but still flat. before we got the job it has had: new crank & cam sensors (o.e.) scoped & working ok new starter motor (ok) we've had the injectors tested,ok, reset the cam pump clearances we checked fuel pressure at the port on the vac. pump, was low, fitted new elec. lift pump rechecked valve timing numerous times correct done scan & attached autoscan scoped maf ok i'm thinking it could be egr related, but relay checks out, vac pipes are all good,ok on actuator test replaced coolant sensor & connector (corroded) i'm told this has only occurred since the engine swap, as he's a personal friend i see no reson to disbelieve him where next? sorry for length of post it's just sooo frustrating!
