    Peugeot 307 1.6 HDi 9HZ 2005 - Anti pollution fault, unable to com with additive ECU # Archived Message

    I am unable to get communication with the additive ecu & on AD the engine ecu isn't listed, although the same faults appear when accessing using siemens ecu or Bosch.
    Faults listed were;
    P2408 Fuel Cap sensor/switch circuit.
    P1435 Unkown ( fuel additive system malfunction according to autodata)
    U0046 Vehicle communications Bus C

    The first fault for fuelcap cleared, but the others wont & I am unable to get communication with the additive control module.
    This vehicle has been looked at twice by the dealers that the car was purchased from, but they were a bit vague telling the customer what they had done. Each time he had the vehicle back the fault returned not long after. On one invoice he says that part no P000012525CY was fitted with a description of ECB.
    My problem now is whether I trust both the scan tools & assume that the additive control unit is faulty & replace it at approx £75 or whether the problem is just with the fuel cap sensor or a wiring/CAN(VAN) fault. I also don't have any wiring or pin data for this system.
    The additive tank has approximately 40mm left in it.
    I have checked the archives & can't find anything to suggest that anybody has had a faulty additive unit yet, I also contacted AD to see if using the Citroen C8 additive ADDGO-03 software/option should work , as the peugeot software only listed ADDGO-02, but they said that it may use a different communication system.The multiscan only lists Marwal, but not any specific version.
    Any help or advise would be appreciated. I expect with the limited info that I have , I may have to refer it to my local dealer(rather than where the customer had taken it).
    Regards,Andrew
