    Hi all, this merc cuts out under hard acceleration, will restart with key off then on.Code P1187 rail pressure monitoring deviation is always present with P1187 rail pressure monitoring maximum exceeded sometimes present.
    Live data from KTS gives 40MPa rail pressure/14% control valve duty at idle,and 150Mpa/50% duty flat out when all is well. When fault occours, which is just about on demand when car is hot, the rail pressure takes a dive down to 90MPa and valve duty tops out at 80%, this happens in about 1 second after which it shuts down. Have replaced fuel filter, no nasty bits floating around, low pressure sealing is all good with no air bubbles to high pressure pump. Low pressure is 3 to 4 bar and ok when fault occours.I have done many injector return tests and found one that returns way more than the others at 2500 rpm but not everytime, so to get to the point, finally, has anyone replaced an injector to cure this fault have i missed anything or can anyone advice of any other tests on this system, we have only ever replaced for non starters, and can one failing injector drop rail pressure by 30MPa ?
