Ha sorry it didn't sound like that was what you meant. so you are saying you have changed the pedal position sensor for this fault ? well I've not ruled it out thats for sure,i will scope it on monday. I'm asking about the boost valve because i just can't make my mind up if i'm totally stupid or GM's TIS is wrong or i have been sold a duff valve. If anybody else is familiar with TIS can you please read the below description and give me your interpretation on how you would test this valve. This is from TIS • Disconnect vacuum hose from following component: Vacuum Actuator - Boost Pressure Control Valve • Connect vacuum pump MKM 667 (component side) to: Vacuum Actuator - Boost Pressure Control Valve • Use vacuum pump MKM 667 to create a vacuum in the range between -70 kPa ( -0.7 bar ) and -100 kPa ( -1 bar ). Is pressure decrease detectable? YES Defective component So my interpretation is that i should be removing the VAC pipe that supplies Vacuum to the valve, and applying my mityvac to the valve "vac in" then once i have applied vacuum it should hold if the valve is correct. If there is a decrease which there is this would mean faulty valve ? I had already tried actuator test on both the swirl and boost valve following the TIS procedure But both valves do not alter they just stay at full Vac, According to TIS this is the expected result. rather confusing i don't see the point in having the actuator test.think im going mad. Cheers Jacko
