    FIX! Isuzu Trooper, R plate, 3.1D Intercooler Archived Message

    The stop solenoid is inside a small black box with three wires going into it. This is the Bosch immobiliser. The theory is to drill out the two shear bolts holding it to the pump, and hot wire it with the immobiliser feed. This proved impossible in situ so I drilled the cover and prised it off. Same with the circuit board underneath, and fortunately the wire to the solenoid had enough showing to solder a wire to. Hope this helps someone else in the future, Peter
