I spent hours on that job, as far as I can see the returns pipe is aimed at the one way valve and actually "jets" it open, as well as reusing returned fuel. I presume this is supposed to allow scavenging the very last drop of fuel in the tank. Why it should all of a sudden stop being capable of supplying fuel beats me? unless there is some kind of baffle inside the tank that has moved/broken? I couldnt find any evidence on my car though. As you say the actual amount of fuel flowing through the one way valve is pretty low if you just submerge it in diesel. Be nice to get a definitive answer from some Peugeot expert on this teaser James
