Re: Fait Scudo 2001 2.0ltr HDi (EDC15) Archived Message Posted by Andrew West on November 11, 2007, 7:15 pm, in reply to "Fait Scudo 2001 2.0ltr HDi (EDC15)" Hello Dave, I have had a Scudo recently that had an intermittent cutting out problem.It had had a new pump etc fitted under waranty.Since it has still been cutting out, but only in wet weather.Every time I got to look at it there was a fault for either cam sensor or crank sensor(sorry can't remember which, but may be able to look it up).The customer had taken it to LSUK & the dealers several times, but the last time that it cut out an AA patrol found that when the wiring to the crank sensor was moved (wet weather at the time)it induced the fault.The AA patrol took off the conduit around the wiring & couldn't find any problem other than the wiring was wet.It has been ok since.We had also previously covered over the ecu where the water was running down the gutters & directly on to the ecu connectors. I doubt that this is your problem & expect that you have already sorted it with the pump fix, but this info may help.
