I Replaced timing belts on this vehicle after tension roller fell apart. The vehicle was still running, though very noise and starting ok.
Now after timing belt replacement starting from cold requires a lot of cranking and eventually starting with excess unburnt diesel smoke and smell.
Now i know the most obvious reason could be a timing error, but i don't usually make these kind of mistakes. I will re-check the timing .
There are no fault codes present but in live data
the only items that don't look right are as follows:
KEY ON ENG OFF:Main injection advance -3 degrees.
ENGINE RUNNING:This moves to +3 degrees
Could any one confirm these values ?
AIR FLOW METER :Running shows 200 mg/stroke @1.5 volts. This value when engine is revved doesn't increase beyond 2.1 volts, which looks low to me ?Does anybody have any ideas or data to add to this ,please ,Thanks .
