I have this 118,000 mile L200 Trojan, that has been through the wars, and some other techs, and then brought to me.

I'm thinking the pump has failed, but I cant find any pindata or accurate code definitions to confirm my thoughts. At £1500, Ive never been one for the gambling!! Checked the archives and noted whats in there too.

Customer originally complained that it was loosing power and was a bit smoky at times. It proceeded to get worse up until now, where it takes a bit of cranking to get started, then belches out a mixture of blue/white and sometimes black smoke. It stops the engine from accelerating because the butterfly on top of the inlet manifold is held closed as soon as the engine does fire up. If I disconnect the vac pipe to it the revs surge up and down between 2-3000 rpm, every couple of seconds, the smoke dies down quite a bit, but it still wont respond to the appsw. Mil is on and it stores code "48 GE" on the Launch Infinite. Apparently the crap code description is common place with the Mitsis. The only "GE" I can see in the live data, is giving a duty cycle figure of between 19 and 49% when running? It also appears in the actuator test menu but will not activate it,engine running or not. It also intermittently brings up "12 Boost Snsr" and "63 Ecu Fail", again not sure if this relates to the pump ecu or the one behind the kick panel .

Crankshaft woodruff key was worn and has been replaced and timing set again, boost sensor, fuel filter replaced and tank drained and refueled. Ecu shows no sign or smell of damage, and what I can find which I think are earths and feeds are ok.

Live data shows app sw, rpm signals from pump and crankshaft, desired and actual pump timing, egr, figures etc. are all good. The one thing I see out of spec is "CSP" which gives a target value of 20.3% and an actual value of 89.1%?

Has anyone come across any pindata or code descriptions that could help? Many thanks for reading and would appreciate any help.
