Car came into us as a non runner,RAC told the owner that it was the low pressure fuel pump in the tank, but there is no low pressure fuel pump. Rear ECU trouble codes, one present, P0193 Fuel rail pressure sensor high input.Checked the voltages in and out of the sensor and found no signal voltage and then checked the wiring back to the ECU and found a broken wire.Repaired said wire but still no start.Read other posts about Hdi probs and noted ones about hp pumps. The hp pumps nothing out of the hp pipe but diesel comes out of the return side.Would the vehicle not start because the problem with the rail sensor? Forgot to say rail sensor has been changed but fault code is still present. Thanks in advance.
