Last month I repaired a Cherokee Sport with similar symptoms and also poor starting, although this was a 2.8 VM twin cam common rail engine, similar to yours I think. The injectors are available through any Bosch supplier, at less than a third of the cost. It is recommended to change the high pressure pipe at the same time. (I had to change one anyway because of a fuel leak). Trouble is, they are about £110 each and at the moment only available from the dealer. My Bosch supplier could identify the pipes, but could not obtain them, although they may be able to by now. |
