    Hi All, Just to update

I decided to send the pump to a well known re manufacture in the hope that a speedy diagnosis would follow, you would hope that 5 working days would do it? I didn't get a call from them as promised so i called them yesterday morning.
Ah yes..it is defiantly faulty,it will cost £xxx to put right.A price was agreed (so i thought)and i quoted my customer.
They called back today and spoke to my business partner asking for another £100 (no charge for extra labour)nice of them! to fit a faulty solenoid.
When i was told of this i called them back and spoke to a chap who described himself as the manager(the guy i originally dealt with was on holliday)he said.
I told him i was not happy about being given a fixed price for repair then being told it would be another £100 a day later!.If i had been told, you need to spend £xxx to fix a known fault but it may cost more as the known fault may be masking another fault-then i could have advised my customer accordingly, but i wasent.I told the manager i was going to post my dealings with them on uk autotalk,i was then offered £50 refund.
I asked what the original fault was,he didn't know at that time but called me back 10 mins later and said that the pump PCM had been spiked (destroyed)and that the same spike probably damaged the solenoid.
To be honest i dont know what to think.
Does a PCM for this pump cost in excess of £550 all in?
    And a solenoid £100?

    Regards Andy
