Ford Transit 2.0 Di 2001 - Cutting out on motorway # Archived Message

    Hi All

Above van has come into us a couple of times with an intermittent fault that never presents itself to us.Hoping one of you guys have come across it and may be able to help?

Customer describes it as cutting out on motorway/town. Turn it over for about 5 mins then off it goes no probs for a few days-till next time.

First time it came in code read Autodiagnos

p1665 status present;fuel injection pump communications with pcm low voltage
po335 status present; crankshaft position sensor A circuit malfunction
B2139 status present;security messages do not match between PCM and PCU

fitted a crank sensor and cleared codes, drove it for 200 miles no probs.Customer drove it over weekend no probs then it cut out again on Monday.

Code read again-same codes returned with addition of PATS code
B2141 status present;no security id exchange between PCM and PCU

Have done wiggle tests on everything i can access and checked that all the pump to ECU and pump relay wires can carry current(used a head light bulb)

Will be driving van armed with pico over weekend in a hope to catch it.

    Any advice please?

    Regards Andy.
