I have had the main relay connection dropping out on the lucar under the relay, just usually needs sqeezing up slightly. This causes Non start, wierd clicking & the temp gauge problem also. If it's not that, maybe a faulty ecu, although I would have expected lots of spurious fault codes. HTH Steve
