Renualt Scenic 2001 1.9TDCi - Oil pressure problem after turbo replacement Archived Message

    Hi,

This car blew up the turbo, new turbo was fitted the car ran fine for around 15 miles then suddenly the oil light came on, I stopped the car and when I opened the bonnet I found oil all over the engine, in a closer inspection I could see the oil filter’s seal off its place, new oil filter was fitted and this oil filter’s seal immediately went when revving the car up, so far 3 different makes of oil filter were fitted and still the same. It looks like the oil isn’t returning to the engine, I removed the oil filter mounting and blew some air and the air was going through,

What could have happened here? Is maybe something to do with the new turbo, wrong fitted? Rest of old turbo blocked the oil pressure valve? And any idea where this valve should be located?

Sorry for the long post but this is a quite important customer,

    thanks
    Daniel
