Citreon C5 2.2 HDI 4HX 2001 - Code P0191 fuel rail pressure sensor range/ performance problem Archived Message

Car goes into limp mode and P0191 Fuel rail pressure sensor-range/performance problem gets stored. Delete codes, car drives fine for maybe two miles(sometimes 10) then back to limp, code reappears.

We`ve replaced the diaphragm( http://members.boardhost.com/ukautotalk8/msg/1170270661.html ) because the nylon cup had detattched and also re-routed many vacuum hoses(I think customer has had a play). A combination of these two problems were flagging different codes which have stayed deleted.

The timing has been checked(inc chain), new nozzles fitted to injectors and turbo appears in good order.

    Live data @ idle:
    Fuel press 243.1 bar
    Air flow 229 mg/cp
    Turbo press 988 bar
    Exhaust diff press 12 mBar
    Quantity of additive 153 grams

    Live data @ 2912 rpm:
    Fuel press 596.1 bar
    Air flow 506 mg/cp
    Turbo press 1129 bar
    Exhaust diff press 112 mBar

If any more data is needed please ask.

We don`t normally do much in diesel diagnostics and its our first experience of this type of HDI system, so we are keen to learn.

    Any thoughts appreciated
