    Citroen C5 2.2 HDi 2001 HXE - Identify part # Archived Message

    Hi All

    Citroen C5 Estate Diesel
    HXE 2.2 HDi 11/2001
    101,000 miles

This is a customer of mine that has recently purchased the above car. He is now having one problem after another, including the MIL on all the time. 6 months ago it had the additive replaced at the dealers and i have replaced the starter motor after xmas

    The problems are:
Fault code for the additive tank cap missing
    Lack of power
Interior (air con) fan running full speed constantly

Under the bonnet i have found a plastic link rod, with the small ball joint broken, the rod disappears down the back of the engine and feels like a diaphragm at the end. The main dealer identified it for him, but i ordered it from the part number and it's not the correct part

Can someone identify it from the picture below and tell me what it does, and called. I think this broken link is his lack of power problem

The dealer has told him it needs a complete heater control panel to cure the fan speed problem (£375.00). Is the heater panel easy to remove? and will it need coding

The additive cap missing fault code will not clear and he's been told it may need an ECU

Help to identify the part in the picture would be a start

    Many thanks

    Peter
