    Try checking the voltage on the MAF signal wire going back to the ecu. Snap throttle and it should read close to 5 volts at its peak.

    Also bear in mind that unplugging MAF sensors, as above, will not always provide an improvement in performance. Some ecus, on Vauxhalls for example, see a fault with the MAF/IAT and just go into limp mode anyway, which could lead you to think that the sensor was not faulty. HTH, Ian.
