Hi I have a 1.6 focus 2006 engine code HHDA.
I have one fault code which will not clear, P0380-61 and the display showing engine system fault.
I have studied a wiring diagram and found relay 11 in the front fuse box is the correct one.
pin 1 comes from the switched ignition 15 and is the feed to the switching side of the relay
pin 2 goes to K4 on the pcm and is the switched earth to activate the relay.
pin 3 is the main feed in to the glow plug relay
pin 5 feed to the glowplugs (when relay active) also talks back to the pcm via fuse 28 and a4 on the plug of the pcm.

The values I have are:
pin 1 12.17v
pin 2 3.54
pin 3 12.18
pin 5 8.25 (zero with fuse 28 removed)

When switching ignition on I have no change on the earthing of pin 2 so relay not switching.
I assume that this relies on the signal on pin 5 talking back via fuse 28.

I have isolated the terminal from the plug at the pcm and the 8.25v is still present directly out of the pcm.

I have concluded (rightly or wrongly )that there is a fault in the pcm and sent it away for testing but has came back ok.

I'm stumped now anybody shed any light on this for me
