don't suppose you can see part number on the turbo can you ? looks like should be 93187292 or superseded number 93198156. From what i can see this is a old style 'wast gate' turbo rather than a variable vane. Of course if it was supposed to have boost sensor & control valve the ECU would flag faults if missing.

I had a very quick look before work and it appeared that the vac control pipes & turbo control solenoid was greyed out i.e. not fitted /applicable to this VIN,.
