Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 1.6 tdci
( Optional ) Scanner Used: SS2 Modus Delphi
( Optional) Fault Codes: P2458
It came from a friends garage to clear the codes after the dpf had been removed and professionally cleaned. He deals mainly with Toyota so did'nt have suitable diagnostic gear.
All codes cleared bar P2458 (Regen duration)
I can clear the code with the scanner if I disconnect the pressure sensor but it will return after a short drive or sometimes even when idling.
I reset the dpf parameters, filled the additive and did a successful static regen but to no avail.
Live data shows 20 kpa at 3k revs and 0kpa koeo.
At 3k rpm under load the temp will reach almost 600 degs and this has me wondering.
If it's a false high reading could the software be fooled into reading this as constant regen in progress and thus flagging this code.
On the other hand I checked a 2010 Kuga with no faults and the temp readings were similar.
Any information appreciated
