Year of Manufacture *: 2009
Engine Size and Code *: 1910cc JTD 939A2000
( Optional ) ECU Type: Bosch EDC16 C39
This ca is a non start. Customer was driving and it stopped on him.
Faulty codes
P0265 cylinder #2 circuit/open/short
P0268 cylinder #3 circuit/open/short
The car will start for a couple of turns and then die. The fault codes will return straight away.
Fuel pressure is 427 bar cranking
Battery condition good and cranked with a booster pack.
Injectors #2 and #3 were removed by the garage and sent for testing at the local diesel specialist and came back OK. We swapped injectors #2 and #3 for #1 and #4 and re coded all injectors. The code for #2 and #3 injectors returned.
I scoped all injectors and #2 and #3 are being triggered however #1 and #4 are not.
Injector resistance is approx 1 ohm with no continuity to ground.
The wiring was checked from all injectors to PCM and was sound.
Cam and cranks signals were checked and also cam timing.
All lives and grounds checked to PCM.
My question is; do these systems with actuator type fuel injectors cut out if there is a fault with one or more injectors like the Pizo systems do?
This is looking like a PCM issue but would like a little more background information if possible.
