i've got a 2004 Shogun Sport 2.5TD that's been "tinkered" with. The VGT actuator screws are pretty much screwed all out + Generic ECU tune box fitted.
I've found on the 'net this reference, but I'm not getting FC 49 but I am getting 1.8 Bar boost with VGT & tune box disconnected! Can't get it below 1.3 Bar
Problem
Engine cuts out.
Trouble code 49 stored in engine control module (ECM) fault memory.
Cause
Incorrect adjustment of turbocharger (TC) wastegate actuator.
Remedy
Using diagnostic equipment carry out road test and record maximum boost pressure. Specification: 1,9-2,0 bar.
Remove pipe from turbocharger (TC) wastegate actuator and plug pipe.
Using diagnostic equipment carry out road test again and record maximum boost pressure. Specification: 1,1 bar max.
Adjust turbocharger (TC) wastegate actuator screw as necessary.
Reconnect pipe when specifications are met.
