Seems to be my week!
This Isuzu cuts out at idle.
Live data shows
Desired fuel rail pressure (1000 rpm) 55 MPa
Actual fuel rail pressure (1000rpm) 37 MPa (varying)
With actual dropping down to 10 MPa before it cuts out.
My first check was fuel supply from the lift pump in the tank. There is no spec that I can find in the factory manual apart from, and I quote "place your hand on the bottom of the tank and feel for vibration to confirm fuel pump works"
There is no fuel contamination and charging volts are 14.5v
Anyhow, there is no flow and no pressure from the fuel tank lift pump. When I check the current on my Pico scope it gives a poor trace ( sorry, not saved )
Can anyone tell me what pressure and flow I should expect, so I can check the operation of the new pump.
I must add. That even though there is no pressure, the engine still runs and revs up. In fact the pressure improves the higher the RPM. I must assume ( correct me if I am wrong ) that the high pressure pump acts as a suction when moving faster.
Any help would be great
Regards
Simon
