This vehicle has come in with a poor cold start fault. A diagnostics test has confirmed low fuel pressure under cranking. A sniff of easy start enables instant start and it will then run perfectly. It will then restart unless left for a few hours.

My first check was to carry out an injector leak off test, but to be honest, I'm never quite sure what is an acceptable level of leak off.

This one has yielded some interesting results. I can only test under cranking due to the amount that has to be stripped to access the injectors but I have found that 3 out of the four injectors fill my measuring tubes (as in the photo here) with in 8 seconds of cranking. No. 2 injector produces virtually nothing. Do I take it that the other 3 are faulty? or is there a problem with No. 2 and the others are ok?
