My question is regarding the temperature sensor fitted to the cat-DPF - with the engine stone cold, IDS live data says 100 deg. C and Verus says 140 deg. C. Either way it's not at ambient temperature of around 6 deg. C. And when driving normally its behaviour is consistent at around 450 deg. C.
Driving it in 3rd gear at around 3000rpm it reached a maximum of 649 deg. C. ( using Verus ).
I am assuming that the temperature sensor should be showing ambient correctly and not the 100-140 as given above, and is the 100-140 temperature shift added to the actual reading causing the regen to be cut short due to the temperature being too high and logging the "regen duration" dtc?
Thanks, Martin.
