It had fault codes for 3 Glow Plugs - they have since been replaced.
The other thing I have noted on this car is that if I unplug all 6 injectors and crank it, It does not raise any injector fault codes.
With the injectors unplugged I have about 180Kohms across each one, but when I gently stress the plastic housing with my finger they all go open circuit.
The same happens when I drain the rail of pressure and then crank it, Im guessing the quick build up of pressure is simmilar to the stress from my finger.
In the time I have had it in my possession, it has gone from its original fault, to only starting when I let it cool down and now a complete Non Start.
It will run on sniff but not under its own steam.
Looking at MB Star, I have Good Cranking RPM, Fuel Pressure, Cam Crank switches to Synchronised and then after a while on extended cranking it will go to "Not Synched" again.
I have scoped the injectors - Current & Command - Crank it and then after a couple on seconds each Injector is Commanded and fires twice. Only ever twice each time I cycle ignition and crank it.
I have pulled the injectors out and bolted them up and indeed I can see all of them fire twice in what appears to be the correct sequence.
In the time I have had it, it threw up a CMP fault that would not go away, I had a known good and that code has since gone away. Then for some reason it popped "Circuit 87" fuse and about 10 fault codes popped up (that fuse powers up Both Air Masses and a handfull of other components. Replaced the fuse and it has not since blown since and the codes have stayed away. All those Components have good Battery Voltage at them when loaded.
The fact that each injector fires twice on demand is my dilemma.
Could anyone shed any light on what I should be looking at ?
thanks
