Year of Manufacture *: 2005
Engine Size and Code *: 2.0D 130 BHP
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Dec SS2 and maxidas ds708
( Optional) Fault Codes: P035
I have this Jag that cuts out when revved above 2500 to 3000 RPM. Keeps setting a P0335 crank position sensor circuit A.
I have checked the signal at ECU and at sensor. All good. Checked the cam sensor as well just in case. All good.
I scoped both sensors while revving engine. There does not seem to be any movement in the signal while revving. At idle there is some drift in the signal (about 4/5 degrees).
There is no rattle from the chain.
I replaced cam and crank sensors just in case with no difference.
Has anyone had this fault setting with a stretched chain?
If anyone has any ideas or thoughts I would like to here them as I'm all out of ideas bar replacing the chain.
Thanks.
