Yes a PSG 5 ECU can normally be purchased separately, but It needs to be fitted and programmed by a diesel centre (to the pump)

Cheap & good don't normally go together so good luck there

Yes a second hand one can be fitted but it normally forms part of the PATS system and will need to be paired.

A second hand unit can be Re-set via KTS with the correct connectors.
