Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 3.0 1KD-FTV
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Hanatech
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0093 severe fuel pressure loss
This Hilux was driven through deep water and water entered the fuel tank and was sucked up into the high pressure fuel system.
The tank was removed and cleaned as were the fuel lines up to the high pressure pump along with a new fuel filter.
When this was unsuccessful the garage then removed the high pressure pump and had it tested, this was deemed to be ok.
They then replaced the fuel rail and they still have the same issue. This is where I come in!
I feel (due to everything else that has been done) that we may have a fuel injector issue. Can these injectors be leak tested and what sort of leak measurement should I see? Can water destroy these injectors?
I have not had to test the fuel systems on these very often due to them being very reliable. According to the garage it wont run long enough to get live injector correction data.
Any help on this would be greatfully received
Regards
Simon
