I have popped off the pipe at the hp pump and ran the in tank pump, I get a tiny dribble over 60 seconds never mind 600ml!!

I took the pump out and bench tested it, it does pump diesel however one thing I noticed was if I restricted the outlet the pump would not labour but just created bubbles from around the pump body.
I think the pump is suspect.

One other question, if anyone has the answer;

the filter housing is UFI type, that takes a mahle KX220 or equivalent.
When you open up the filter housing (had a look in case of restriction) there appears to be some sort of pressure relief valve affair, does anyone know?
Just to clarify I am getting fuel at the filter but it doesnt make it to the hp pump.
I would expect the pump to be capable of pushing the fuel through the filter?
