I spoke to the garage that I was doing this job for today and a contact they have at Vauxhall told them that these PCM's have problems with bad soldered joints.
They decided to open it up to have a look and found what they think are three bad joints (one of them coated in green corrosion).
They are going to send PCM for Repair/Test.
Will update when PCM is refitted.
