Year of Manufacture *: 2007
Engine Size and Code *: 3.0 cdi 642.990
( Optional ) Scanner Used: snap-on modis and carman lite scan
( Optional) Fault Codes: 2633/p2633
I have found conflicting results regarding this code number, charge air system offset drift under engine load (modis) fuel pump 'b' control circuit low (carman) and when researched online air mass meter, the code remains live and will not clear even with engine off.
The turbo waste gate remains open all the time the engine is running and I have proven a point that it will rev normally by disconecting the link rod and manually holding shut, however after fitting a donar unit the fault is still apparent. does this need programming? from previous experiance with these on e classes they have been plug n play.
I have seen various different diagrams and pinpoint tests for other 642 engines but all show a twin maf system but on this one its a single. would guess a vito would be the same as it is also a 642.990 engine used. i have checked maf signal voltage and signal, does'nt want to move from 2.5v and is only seeing 1.7 g/s peaking at around 2.5/3 g/s when revved.
I have a good 12v supply pin 1 on maf, good earth at maf pin 2 however a 5v supply does drop off to 3v when engine started and the data I have shows this coming from ecu pin 90, I dont have a pin 90??
does anybody have any experience of these or any pin data that would be relevant?
thanks
