Year of Manufacture *: 1997 Engine Size and Code *: 1.9td xud110 fuel pump
No earth to fuel pump cut off solenoid. Cooling fan runs constantly with ignition on A/c off. Did not come in with this problem. I was visually checking a couple of black box control unit block connectors in the nsf inner wheel arch.(Peugeot dealer cannot identify them from all of the numbers I gave them) car started fine with them disconnected anyway. Wiring from four wire black block connector at front of fuel pump heads up to fuel cut off solenoid then seems to veer to the back of the pump to a sensor/switch on the pump down low between block and pump above oil filter water cooler pipes then back to the cut off switch. I have put in an earth to the solenoid and the car runs as it should. However the cooling fan still runs all of the time the ignition is on. The black block connector at the front of the pump has two lives and two earths with ignition on. Immobiliser seems to be operating normally. What is/does the switch/sensor do on this Lucas xud110 do ? What do the two control units do in the inner wing ? cheers
