A local garage seeing trouble on the horizon passed the customer on to me!
No DTC's in engine control.
The immobiliser reports 1. don't erase before checking engine diagnosis.
A clifford alarm has been fitted but checks out ok.
The immobiliser warning lamp on dash goes out and stays out.
The engine warning lamp goes out on cranking and comes on again when cranking is stopped.
If the MAP is disconnected the MIL flashes and records the MAP code which can be cleared so I know I have comms.
All the live data I have available appears reasonable.
Fuel appears good i.e.no petrol contamination and a new fuel filter has been fitted.
I do not have anything any more that I can comm directly with the pump (I've done that in the past with Texa but it's dead at the moment).
The ball bearing valve in the fuel return banjo has been checked and it's not stuck.
The engine runs on easy start (sparingly applied) so it appears the engine is mechanically sound.
Can't get cranking RPM for pump as cranking shuts down the Multiscan.
The pump can be heard to buzz on ignition on so I believe the pump ECU to be at least alive.
I'm thinking pump failure but not sure how to confirm this.
