It originally come in for rear discs and pads, the MIL was also on but he did not request a scan as his local garage that does his servicing had already done one and just come up with a code for glow plugs
They told him they were only used for starting so not to worry about it
I scanned it out of interest
4232 Glow plug #3 activation
4262 Glow plug #6 activation
4501 EGR control activation
They did not get an EGR code according to the customer
I told the customer that the glow plugs do more that just aid starting, which he had a job to get his head around. A theory question really, what's the strategy on this vehicle with glow plugs post heating etc (if any)
The cars back in Friday to remove EGR and inspect
Second question, what are the glow plugs like to do, tucked well under the inlet manifold
Peter
PS When I tried to reset the Rear Brake Service the Autocom kept saying "Failed". Tried Solus Ultra, went straight in and reset no problem, great little scanner
