Can you explain to me notwithstanding the training issue, why when following AD info that pin BG2 is showing 12v from the ECU when I would expect to see approx. 2v when cranking?

You are basing your expected values on Autodata's information & placing too much faith in it. Could it be that the PCM outputs 12v & the camshaft position sensor modifies the voltage in the form of a square wave output?
Yeah Ok I will give you that about the video clip. It does carry a serious & significant message though & who better to make the point than Clint?
