EGR valve will definatly cause a non start situation

As far as what they have checked I disregard that statement on every trade job I get through the car because just say they missed something whilst checking timing etc or even worse haven't actually checked you could have hours of wasted time.

Definatly get a capture of injector current on cranking do relative compression at same time for good measure.
